The unit was great. Very clean, nice Xmas decorations everywhere that were subdued (not loud and bright - almost like they could be for any time of year). Beautiful view of the slopes from the balcony. Unit is about as close as you can get to the kid's play area and sledding Hill. Heat worked great. Master bed was OK - a little springy. I would give 5 stars on the unit, but knocking it down because of the complex... we chose this condo facility because of the pool and gaming center in case we needed something to do. Sure enough, the weather was bad - rained for 2 days. We went to the pool area. The smell of chlorine was too high so we didn't swim. There were two giant dehumidifiers that clearly weren't working as it was musty and humid. The pool table, air hockey, and all arcade games cost money ($1/game for pool and hockey). We assumed they would be free for guests/residents. The ping pong was free but the table was soaking wet from a leak in the ceiling, and the paddles were all warped and broken. In several parts of the complex rain was leaking onto the covered area (though this unit was in a better area). With that said, we'd likely stay there again.

We loved the Pinnacle Inn. There are two good playgrounds for my 4 year old and delicious restaurants within walking distance! This particular unit felt like home. I appreciated the welcoming Christmas decorations, warms blankets and full kitchen!

Everything was wonderful. Very clean(I'm OCD) new towels, kitchen essentials including spices and oil, dish detergent,laundry detergent, and hand soap. Will definitely stay again. Thanks for a wonderful stay

These ladies were my angels! I had a nightmare story with not being able to properly access an Airbnb that I had rented on Beech Top Road— I was expecting 2 other cars of relatives (8 total) and we were trying to ski. THESE LADIES PROVED TO ME WHY YOU SHOULD RENT LOCALLY FROM THEM!! They know which houses do or don’t work best for you. They quickly found us this beautiful 5 bedroom house by the slopes, close and convenient to everything with plenty of house parking. Grandma was easily able to make and have ready a 4 course tenderloin meal waiting for us that very evening as we finished our ski runs. We all slept like babies. A HUGE THANK YOU TO TRACIE AND THE GIRLS for making our nightmare turn in to a sweet dream!

Ski In / Ski Out - It's a 45 second walk on a trail to the slopes/terrain park. Pizza place, ski shop, management office and general store are all a 60 second walk or less. Great ski in / ski out location. Space - Lots of beds and bedrooms. Sleeping easily accommodated our party of 9. Kitchen is tight if everybody wants to eat at the same time. Living room is tight if everybody wants to watch TV at night together. That being said, we managed both. Furnishings - Plenty of kitchenware. I thought the furniture was just fine. The TVs were kinda small, but we didn't watch much TV. Cleanliness - Very clean. Everything was spotless. Overall - I had a large ski group and this place was everything we were looking for. I look forward to staying here again.

We had a wonderful time! The chalet was clean, organized, and up to date.

Very positive, we had ten people and the sleeping set up was perfect. The house was an easy walk to the slopes, the home was in excellent condition, comfortable and walking distance to Fred’s and Brick Oven Pizza. We hope to go back next year. There was a fenced in area for our standard poodles.

We planned a last minute spring break ski vacation and found this home that is centrally located to the town and ski resort and for what we paid, it was a good deal. It is sort of ski-in, ski-out if the neighbors are friendly and don't mind you walking across the back yard to get to "The Meadows" ski run. It was a big house for the four of us and can handle a group with someone in every bed if everyone manages their turn in the two bathrooms. Laundry room is upstairs with a full-size W/D. The kitchen is well equipped with cookware, utensils and glassware but you will need to bring condiments, spices, etc to prepare meals.

Unit was relatively clean and I don't know that the criticisms of the conditions of the house are fully warranted. No telling how many weeks a year this house is rented out, but there is normal wear and tear that a rental property is bound to experience and it may be that the den furniture is due for a refresh. The bed pillows are due for replacement and if the master mattress is new, a memory foam pad would be a welcome addition.

You can walk to pizza and BBQ and drive two minutes to Mexican food, or 15 minutes to Banner Elk. We rented ski equipment from the store in front of the house and the prices were great.

Overall, we would recommend this unit.

The home we rented was overall great. The location was great! The home floors could have been cleaned better. The carpet is old and needs to be replaced with flooring like the rest of the home. The dishes had to be all washed again because they were loaded into the dishwasher all together and weren’t cleaned. Again, overall we had a wonderful trip and will definitely rent this home again in hopes some updates have been done.

Slope side location was fantastic to ski down to a lift and then back to the house for lunch. Across the street from pizza and other businesses. Paved road, easy to drive to. House is dated and dirty, you’re renting this for the location and no more.

The house was okay but there are opportunities for improvement. Place an air purifier in the basement, use mattress pads, replace all carpeted areas with laminate flooring. Doing those things would make the house nearly perfect. The side yard and part of the back yard had trash scattered everywhere from a bear sometime before we arrived. Cleaning/ property manager should have addressed it proactively. They cleaned some, but not all of the trash, after our call.

This was our 2nd time staying here for a family trip. The layout of the house works well for a group of 10 people. Everyone had their own space. The location to town is spot on, walking distance to Fred’s mercantile or restaurants. We had an extra guest (bear) outside messing with the trash But not a threat to us. We enjoyed our time there along with the upgrade of having access to a fire pit and seating area.

We stayed at Meadowview Manor this past weekend for a family vacation. We had 3 adults, 2 teenagers and 3 children. The house was plenty big - we had room to spare! The location was ideal - we could walk to the slopes and sledding hill as well as the mercantile and pizza place! The house was clean and equipped nicely. We would stay here again for sure!

Meadowview manor TM8. It was a challenge finding at night and in the fog so that took a bit longer than expected to locate. Once we made inside the house our group was amazed. The house is well kept and is huge, there was plenty of space for everyone my group size 12. We used all but one twin bed on the second floor. The location had us in town and steps from Fred's mercantile when we needed to grab something quick. I would use this again for sure.

For a weekend trip for a group of about 12 this home provided plenty of space, no one was on top of each other. It never felt crowded. The house it self, was clean well maintained. It's location is right in the center of town, we were steps from Fred's mercantile shop and several restaurants as well as Beech Mtn PD station. There is nothing negative to say about it. The only gripe we had was arriving at night and it was foggy so you can miss the turn onto Meadowview rd pretty easy but once we found it no further problems after that. If there is a reason to rent this place again we most definitely will be doing so.

We loved staying here. Home was clean. Kitchen. Was well stocked. Close to the store, pizza place and sled hill. Beds slept well. We really enjoyed it.

House had everything we needed. We cooked a lot and they had all the pots/pans we needed and even spices. A few rolls of toilet paper were provided and paper towels and trash bags. Only thing we needed ourselves was laundry detergent.

A couple notes for future guests:
- House is perfectly between Lower Shawnahee and Upper Shawnahee. You can walk just past your driveway and jump on the slope.
- Second bedroom can fit a blow-up mattress. Kids told me it was pretty cold in there so not sure if there’s a leak in the window but the house does have extra blankets.
- Master bath has a window that provides a peep show for the neighbors. We used foil (which was provided in the kitchen) and hung/molded it to the window for privacy.
- Make sure to put the flag up on the trash container otherwise it doesn’t get picked up.

Was a great experience and we’d stay there again!

I told the truth in my review and as a result I received my first non-5-star review! Unbelievable. We left that house in better shape than what we found it in. Anything less than a 5-star review for my stay is purely vindictive of me telling the truth and unacceptable. There are way better places to stay on the mountain. Pass on this one. Especially with a property manager that is petty and vindictive! SHE SHOULD BE FIRED BY THE OWNERS!

I have been spending October in a beach mountain for more years and I care to remember I love it there This was my 1st small 2 bedroom Cabin rental . and it was lovely it was a round house totally surrounded by windows.lovely. didn't mind smaller size.
Only small difficulty was roads so hilly. I am older and have a dog to walk, plus I missed being able to take long walks.
But lovely clean cabin with everything you need.
I loved the variable weather..sunny,rainy, frost, snow..everything a Fla resident would want.

The first time going with three grandchildren from age 11-16. There was plenty for all to do and enjoy.

I am a repeat renter for this property because of the beautiful full view and nice deck with lots of chairs but I’m disappointed in the new house being built directly in front that blocks my favorite part of the view. Because of this I will not be renting this location any more. It’s still beautiful but I know what I’ll be missing now.

We stayed at Mike's retreat and loved it. The views are breath taking and not many houses on the mountain have these views. House was clean and well stocked. We utilized the Beech Mountain Club membership(that came with the house) to play golf, tennis and pickleball. We went white water rafting too - loved all of our trip and adventures. Hope to be back in the winter or next summer.

Mikes retreat SL#12 is the perfect chalet for small family it is just a few steps from slope and has awsome views of all the mountain ranges

The cabin was in a great location, very convenient from everything. literally a small walk to the closest ski lift. Fred's store is a minute drive for groceries and rentals. Had a great stay, we had a few small hiccups with the cabin, we were only equipped with one trash bag so bring extra trash bags. You will also be required to take all trash to the local dump, so make sure you check the trash cans to make sure it is empty upon arrival ours was not so we had to take alot more trash.

Great sunset views on porch on clear days. Steps away from Upper Shawneehaw trail. Also, just a short walk down to the Meadows trail which was easier for the beginners in our group to start and get set up on flatter ground.

This was our 2nd time at this rental, we loved it so much last year we had to come back. Everything was great except this year they didn't have cable TV, just netflix on Roku. We called the property mgmt office and they said no local channels just movie channels, my husband was unhappy because he wanted to watch football games at night. Other than that the place is awesome. Please bring back cable tv, thanks!!
